Welcome! My name is Ellen Airhart and I am a student at the University of Texas at Austin. I was first introduced to the wonderful world of neuroscience through Oliver Sacks. My own brain has not been the same since.
I have a couple of other interests too. I love to read and talk about books. Feel free to recommend books to me by email. I love taking pictures: you can check out my latest photography project here. Here and here are other examples of my photography. If you’re a student at UT and you want me to take your picture for LinkedIn or whatever, just ask. I won’t charge, but if you feel like contributing to my charity project, Great Minds and Their Maladies, I would appreciate it.
I love to write and I write a lot. I am an intern at the Undergraduate Writing Center, which is a great resource if you’re an undergraduate. Check it out and look for me. This semester, I’ve been learning to be an EMT-basic, which means that I get to ride around in ambulances. I’ve been learning all sorts of cool things, like what to do if something is impaled in your eyeball (DON’T take it out). I’m currently planning my projects for this summer and next semester. I’m definitely enrolling in an American Sign Language class.
If you want to get in contact with me, I’m on Facebook, the twitter, and you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
